Hey, very interesting post, stumbled on it when searching for Keith Green, who I grew up listening to because of my own parents. I've been where you're at in terms of hungering for Gods presence, researching Finney, Wesley and other greats of the past. There's no easy answers, but i hope you found more of God than I have. you might be interested in a book called Intercessor, its a biography of Rees Howells. Its very humbling to read and gives some insight into how God deals with us when we hunger for more of him.
All the best...

Thanks for your testimony. Testimonies always provide an opportunity for increased faith and your's definitely increased mine. I am in Ongole India and have met Liz on her both trips here recently. She really is a wonderful young lady and I am so joyful for both of you. BTW, I'm a ywamer also. CDTS-Kona, Hawaii (oh yes!), Outreach- Philippines 2002. And a woman in my DTS has been serving at the base in Montana, Amy Warner. AND another missionary from DCFI (church) served in Montana for a long time, Chris Rainbow. Small, small world. Be blesses and enjoy the journey!

Dan-as I have been reading your blogs and updates my spirit bears witness with yours in how God is leading, guiding you. God is so amazing when we take that step in Faith believing in what He has for us. I'm at a different place in my life right now and sensing that God is leading me down a different path. I have put it aside for the past months not really asking and not really knowing where it is taking me. While on vacation this past 10 days and older christian couple whom I did not know asked me question after question about my life and so on. At the end they said the very words that had been said to me over a year ago. I was blown away. I felt that God-sense come over me that He was reminding me of what He placed upon me. It brought tears to my eyes and I said to the man that I was contemplating doing something else and maybe do this other at the same time. He said there is a big difference in doing what we want to do and then doing what God has called us to do. Today as I read your update and blog (I'm catching up due to vacation:) once again I sense where God is leading me. He is speaking volumes to me through your words. I'm a little nervous, scared and "overwhelmed by "where do I begin" feeling. As you have said..."i know this exactly where God wants me to be and i’m amazed at all the pieces that He’s placed in my life to put me here right now." (your words:)
Praying for you and we miss you too but we know that you must fullfil God's purpose for your life. To God be the Glory FOREVER!

Wow brother what an experiance is right I am not sure what to think or feel right now. It's like a buffet of emotion, we all got a serious "injection of God". We all learnt so much in this last 5 months and I know this experience is going to last through our entire lives. There is many lessons to be learnt even after this DTS experience. For me ezekial 36:26 sums up my experience. It's not goodbye it is see you later friend. :)

Dan, as I read your blog I could not help being overcome with emotion. In paragraphs 5&6 it was so moving. I have been reading about Jesus and His love and compassion for us. He is fond of ALL His children rich or poor. No matter what state our hearts are in He loves us.

As I read you blog my mind goes back to when I went on a missions trip to Haiti. We ministered to a children's home there. They loved the attention and love that we gave them. But they were so ready to give back. It stayed with me my whole life. God did amazing things then and He still does today.

I'm praying for you and praying for healing of your lips. That you will be strong in spirit and health. Speaking God's truth through your love, your words and actions. I know that you are without a doubt:)

This morning I read in Matt. 9 where Jesus was in the boat and they crossed over the sea and came to His own city. They brought Him to a paralytic and so forth. Jesus went on and saw Matthew and said "Follow Me". Matthew got up and followed Him! The Parisees saw all of this and asked the disciples why He was eating with the tax collectors and the sinners. Jesus heard it and said it wasn't the healthy who need a physician but the sick. I love verse 13. And I quote..."But go and learn what this mean: "I DESIRE COMPASSION, AND NOT SACRAFICE," for I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners." That really struck me this morning. In the Message Bible it says "I'm after mercy, not religion. I'm here to invite outsiders, not coddle insiders." Wow!!

Thought I would throw in what I learned AGAIN about compassion this morning.

We love you and pray much for you.

Danny,
So good to hear from you. You're having quite an adventure, aren't you?
Thanks in advance for the use of your bed on August 8th. My reunion is getting closer and closer! I'm making the name tags for the event so I get the head's up on who's attending.
Take care of yourself and that lip. I hope that it heals soon.
Luv ya!
